We continue to see improvement in the operation of the new e-JCC system. There are several innovations in this new platform, and we at the OJCC will be working in coming weeks to provide training tools to illuminate those changes. If you are encountering recurring issues with the process or the program, I encourage you to contact me directly. This facilitates my knowledge of your questions and concerns.
The "my profile" tab in e-JCC puts you in control of your account with us. We look to you to make changes as appropriate. I recently exchanged emails with a registered user who was frustrated. The user related that they had repeatedly made changes to their profile, but that these changes were not reflected on documents they received from the OJCC. The user sent me a "screen shot" to illustrate the contents of their profile. Screen shots are a great tool as they provide quick documentation of details, and details are helpful. In this instance, the screen-shot was of a webpage on the Department of Financial Services (DFS) website. The Office of Judges of Compensation Claims (OJCC) is not part of the DFS. We do not have access to the data that the DFS maintains, nor does DFS have access to OJCC data. The information we have about you as a user is the information that you provide us through the e-JCC system. To change your address, phone, company name, personal name, email address or other information, log in to the e-JCC system and click on "my profile." We are counting on our users to keep their profile current.
There is an issue with some information in the "initial" petition for benefits. Our goal is to have the OJCC database "save" common entries so that future petitions on the same case will not require re-entry of those data fields. This feature is currently the focus of our programming team because this "save" process is working properly in providing saved data in the third petition and thereafter, but is not providing the saved data on the second petition. We recognize that this is frustrating and we are working to remedy this situation.
Please direct your thoughts and suggestions to me at david_langham@doah.state.fl.us.
