How Will I Know???

The e-service process is up and running.  Some have asked how they will know that something has been served by the OJCC. Check the case docket screen. There is a PDF logo in the left column, which will open the actual document when it is clicked. In the far right column, there is a logo if the OJCC served this document. Click on that logo in the far right column and the service page will appear. You may print or save that page for your records if you wish. Or, you may simply refer to that in future pleadings if you wish, as all judges and mediators have access to this same logo and therefore information on service.

Back in the day, Emily Litella used to entertain us on the Weekend Update portion of Saturday Night Live. This character would appear as a citizen seeking to correct some perceived editorial position of the television network (a parody of the old Fairness Doctrine spots that some will remember). Emergencies

Inclement weather may pose a risk of service interruption or office closure. It is important to remember a few contact points for those situations. First and foremost is the rule. However, there are many good sources of information. The Rule: Rule 60Q 60Q-6.130. EMERGENCY OFFICE CLOSURE (1) The Office of Judges of Compensation Claims is subject to closure pursuant to Gubernatorial instructions or declarations pursuant to Article IV, section 1(a) of the Florida Constitution and the Florida Emergency Management Act. (2) Whenever the Circuit Courts in the particular county in which an OJCC office is located close, due to a weather or other disaster emergency, the district office of the Office of Judges of Compensation Claims in that county shall likewise close for the duration of the emergency closure ordered by that Circuit Court.
