There Is Only One of Each Carrier

We are getting a fair volume of emails about specific carrier addresses. There is only one Liberty Mutual Insurance. Therefore, there is only one "Liberty Mutual" in the drop down menu on our e-JCC program. Liberty, and all of the carriers, have designated an address to handle their mail. The address that they have designated is the one that is listed in our system. Yes, we know that a company that size has many offices and that your habit has been to list a particular office. The new paradigm is that you will send to the address they designated, and they will be responsible for disseminating the document out to the appropriate location, division, subsidiary, adjuster, etc. So, if you can find your carrier, but do not see the address you are used to, use the one that the carrier provided to us and which is listed in our database. Back in the day, Emily Litella used to entertain us on the Weekend Update portion of Saturday Night Live. This character would appear as a citizen seeking to correct some perceived editorial position of the television network (a parody of the old Fairness Doctrine spots that some will remember). Emergencies

Inclement weather may pose a risk of service interruption or office closure. It is important to remember a few contact points for those situations. First and foremost is the rule. However, there are many good sources of information. The Rule: Rule 60Q 60Q-6.130. EMERGENCY OFFICE CLOSURE (1) The Office of Judges of Compensation Claims is subject to closure pursuant to Gubernatorial instructions or declarations pursuant to Article IV, section 1(a) of the Florida Constitution and the Florida Emergency Management Act. (2) Whenever the Circuit Courts in the particular county in which an OJCC office is located close, due to a weather or other disaster emergency, the district office of the Office of Judges of Compensation Claims in that county shall likewise close for the duration of the emergency closure ordered by that Circuit Court.
