March 21, 2012 We continue to see improvement in the operation of the new e-JCC system. There are several innovations in this new platform, and we at the OJCC will be working in coming weeks to provide training tools to illuminate those changes. If you are encountering recurring issues with the process or the program, I encourage you to contact me directly. This facilitates my knowledge of your questions and concerns. The "my profile" tab in e-JCC puts you in control of your account with us. We look to you to make changes as appropriate. I recently exchanged emails with a registered user who was frustrated. The user related that they had repeatedly made changes to their profile, but that these changes were not reflected on documents they received from the OJCC. The user sent me a "screen shot" to illustrate the contents of their profile. Screen shots are a great tool as they provide quick documentation of details, and details are helpful. In this instance, the scre...

March 13, 2012 Welcome back. We have had some continuing problems with some users receiving electronically served notices and orders. We have discovered that some users are putting multiple email addresses into their profile under either "primary" or "secondary" email address (or both), separated by commas or semi-colons. This will not work, and will effectively disable your electronic service. Users can have two email addresses in the e-JCC program. They must be typed into the "primary" and "secondary" email address sections of the "my profile" page. You may not enter multiple emails into these fields without disabling your e-service. If you have entered multiple email addresses, please return to your profile and correct this. If you want Outlook to forward emails received by a certain address, visit the "resources" portion of our website (www.fljcc.org) and click on the tutorial for "forwarding specific emails....

March 9, 2012, 05:12 Welcome back, and thank you all again for your patience. I received an email from a user yesterday that gave me great pride about our OJCC team. The user had experienced some difficulties and contacted the OJCC clerk's office in Tallahassee. Here is what the user had to say about Debbie Golden and Jeannie Paugh, two of our OJCC team members: "I know I had about 3 hairs left until I gave up and contacted Debbie and Jeannie promptly followed up. They were absolutely awesome. They walked me through the problems I was encountering, took time to explain things to me and did it with a wonderful positive attitude. They were also quick in getting back with me and gave me a more positive feeling about the new changes." We have a focused and dedicated team, and we are proud of all of our employees who contribute to providing you with answers and assistance. My special thanks to our team members, and to the user th...

March 6, 2012 03:20 Good morning again. I am pleased to announce that our programmers believe all issues with the e-PFB are now resolved! There is an old adage that "all mechanical things fail," and perhaps that is applicable to "all software" also. I am reminded of a Japanese proverb, "Fall down seven times, get up eight." I think we (the OJCC) have gotten up. I know that our falling down last week caused many users frustration and confusion over the first week of March, and for that I apologize again. I need to know of any ongoing issues that you are encountering. We continue to reset passwords for users. Most of our reset activity has been related to outdated email addresses that users had in their profiles. We have given each user the ability to change their own profile. You can change whatever you wish in your profile. This is YOUR profile. It does not belong to your law firm, your employer or your company. If you change c...

March 2, 2012 06:52 There still seems to be confusion out there about attachments for ePFBs (like medical records). Once an ePFB has been filed, if there are medical records or other docs that need to be “attached” to the ePFB, the user should go back to the main eJCC screen and choose “file document.” Then choose “medical/exempt records.” Once that is selected, another dropdown will show below that where they can choose which ePFB to which the uploaded documents should be “attached.”

March 1, 2012, 20:59. Welcome Back! It has been a huge day for improvements to process. We are seeing fewer and fewer requests for password resets. Maintaining your user profile is up to you. We have spent significant time this week resetting passwords which had long-disused email addresses. Those users did not see the new e-JCC program and changes coming because our emails to them were sent to company URL (thiscompany.com) that have been out of business for years . Please keep your profile current as you move around the industry. A complaint today that a user was typing their email address into the system each time they logged in. Windows should remember those, or at least offer to remember names and passwords for you. I click on the username box when I log in and my email name pops right up. You may have asked Windows to quit offering to remember for you at some point. To restore this function on your computer, follow these instructions:...
